Managing Your Day
This Workshop is one day in duration and focuses on how we manage our time from day to day, how others manage their time and how managers and leaders can help their people manage their days.
Our Workshop Description
Where has the day gone? Can you believe what time it is already? I’ve hardly done anything on my list today!
Do these sound familiar? First and foremost, please think of “Mental Health”. Stress is the biggest enemy our people face, and it is often cited as the highest reason for people being off work.
Our workshop explores why we often feel like we lose time in our day. It examines why we often fail to complete what we planned and, on occasion, seem to have done everything else instead.
This workshop can not work magic. To see changes, you must adapt how you plan your time, work, delegate, and say no, so that you can hand over responsibility for prioritisation to those who delegate to you.
This workshop draws on some key concepts from our Emotional Intelligence and Me and Communicating Effectively workshops. It helps us understand that managing our day and the time we have to accomplish tasks also relies heavily on how we communicate with others and how free those people are to work. It explains how to connect all your jigsaw pieces (and your teams).
We examine prioritisation closely and why our delegation matrix can be a significant game-changer when designed and implemented correctly.
We end with our challenging “Better and Better” activity. You work individually and collectively to identify aspects of your working day/week/month and how we can make significant differences to how we plan and use our time by working proactively and collaboratively.
“Some” of our Typical Content
(Like all our workshops, the content can be edited to meet your organisational requirements)
Who Should Attend and Why?
Who? - Anyone who wants to work smarter instead of longer. People who manage others and care for their welfare, and want to help their people gain a real work-life balance.
Why? - Organisations often demand that everything be done as soon as possible or even yesterday. Sadly, it can’t always be that way, and if that is the case where you work, then someone or some people need to change their approach and stop putting that stress on their people, who may also be passing that stress on to others.
Ask yourself that question… Why is there so much stress at work? How do some people/teams seem just to cope? We have many answers from years of discussing this topic, including the new challenges that occasionally arise from working from home.
So come along and join in our discussions about how we work, how we think we should work, what we want to work on, and how we want others to help us manage our day.
Our Delivery Options
When you consider the content we deliver, we are confident that you will understand why we always prefer to deliver our workshops, courses, and programmes face-to-face.
Face-to-face workshops and courses can be held at a location of your choice or, if you prefer, at a central UK location, such as the Macdonald Burlington Hotel in Birmingham, situated directly across from Birmingham New Street train station.
We can deliver our workshops, courses and programmes online, although this will mean splitting elements into manageable learning events to suit the online environment.
All Expenses
ALL our expenses are included in our daily rate, so there will be no other charges applied (unless additional add-ons are required, such as catch-up sessions when someone misses a workshop).
