Managing Change

In this one-day workshop, we examine change whilst aiming to understand the resistance to change and why some changes are such an uphill struggle for many of our colleagues.

Emotional Intelligence, EI, EQ, Change Management, Managing Change,

Our Workshop Description

“Our dilemma is that we hate change and love it at the same time.

What we really want is for things to remain the same but get better.”

Sydney J. Harris - American journalist. (1917 – 1986).

Change is a regular part of life, yet our ability to resist it and try to avoid or even stop it remains constant.

This workshop examines the many challenges change brings and identifies the various types of people in a change process.

In some cases, the impending change will upset nearly everyone in the organisation, and we need to know how to mitigate its impacts. We need to understand how, sometimes, we can agree with most people's thinking, acknowledge their resistance and negativity, and still be able to turn things around to prove that the change is necessary.

Changes will happen, and whilst we can’t remove all the negatives from each person's perspective, we can plan, prepare and manage change surprisingly well when we have the tools and processes to do so.

Always remember to get your people to think about the long game.

Who Should Attend and Why?

Who? - All Leaders and Managers who have to manage change.

Why? - Change is costly, and if you’re going to spend money and use resources, you need to ensure you get the best ROI possible. When change impacts many of your employees, it may be unwelcome and unwanted, but if it is right for the organisation, you need to know how to position it, advertise it, and sell it.

Don’t hide away from those who push back against change. Come along and chat with us to understand how those who push against change can be your greatest ally as you plan and prepare the whole organisation for the impending change.
