Coaching Skills
Our one-day workshop teaches participants how to facilitate a coaching session, and our two-day workshop also provides the opportunity to coach a fellow participant.
Our Workshop Description
Coaching is an art, and getting it right is crucial for future coaching events, the expectations of others who may require coaching (word travels fast) and the smooth operations within the business.
This workshop equips the subject matter expert to understand the art of interactive coaching. It begins with identifying what people want from a coach and the coaching experience. It then moves into our Coaching Structure and examines each element, ensuring the reason for each is discussed and clearly understood.
We examine closely why the environment can be critical, even when coaching in the workplace. And we prove the need for Emotionally Intelligent thinking and actions.
We examine the link to reverse-engineering the desired outcome. Attendees need to know how to create what we call Snap Objectives without having had the time to write them down previously, so that the coaching objective is established before the session begins, even in ad hoc or unexpected sessions.
This workshop will equip your coach with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to conduct a coaching session per our coaching session plan. It will also enable them to design coaching plans for sessions, ensuring that all organisational coaching follows a consistent approach.
“Some” of our Typical Content
(All our workshops can be adapted to meet your organisational requirements)
Who Should Attend and Why?
Who? - ANYONE involved or soon to be involved in helping people improve Skills, Knowledge and Understanding (SKU).
Why? - It is not enough to have trainers who have been certified or qualified in their professional skills. We must ensure that those responsible for coaching others, even those who coach occasionally, are as well.
Think about this. If your child needed coaching at school, would it be ok for anyone to do that, or would you insist that they were a certified coach?
Likewise, with driving, would you think it is okay for someone who gives coaching sessions to help others improve their driving skills if they were not licensed to drive themselves?
The skill of your coaches is inextricably linked to your employees' performance, output and error margins, so that alone means you need certified coaches.
Coaching will always be required in industries where updates occur, practices are updated, or legislation is changed.
Our Delivery Options
When you consider the content we deliver, we are confident that you will understand why we always prefer to deliver our workshops, courses, and programmes face-to-face.
Face-to-face workshops and courses can be held at a location of your choice or, if you prefer, at a central UK location, such as the Macdonald Burlington Hotel in Birmingham, situated directly across from Birmingham New Street train station.
We can deliver our workshops, courses and programmes online, although this will mean splitting elements into manageable learning events to suit the online environment.
All Expenses
All our expenses are included in our daily rate, so there will be no additional charges applied (unless extra add-ons are required, such as catch-up sessions when someone misses a workshop).
